Removal of the old surface
Old tile, laminate or painted drywall comes off. Countertops and the cooktop are covered and protected before any demolition starts.
A new tile backsplash is the fastest way to change how a kitchen looks without replacing the cabinets. We remove the old surface, prepare the wall, set the tile with tight, even grout lines, cut cleanly around outlets and windows, and seal it so grease and water wipe off.
A backsplash looks simple, but the difference between a clean one and a sloppy one is in the prep and the cuts. This is what the job covers.
Old tile, laminate or painted drywall comes off. Countertops and the cooktop are covered and protected before any demolition starts.
Damaged drywall is patched, the wall is flattened and primed so the tile sets flat and the grout lines stay straight from one end of the kitchen to the other.
We dry-fit the pattern so cuts land where they are least visible and the tile centers on the cooktop or the sink window instead of ending in a sliver.
Subway, herringbone, stacked, mosaic sheets, marble, natural stone or glass tile, set with the right thinset for the material and spaced evenly.
Every opening is cut clean and the outlets are brought flush with the new tile surface so cover plates sit flat.
Grout in the color you chose, flexible caulk where the tile meets the counter and the cabinets, and sealer on stone and on the grout so it wipes clean.
Hexagon stone mosaic set between painted navy cabinets and a quartz countertop, with under-cabinet lighting. Photographed in the kitchen on the day the job finished.

Most of the price and the look of a backsplash comes down to the tile itself and the pattern. We go through these with you at the estimate.
The classic choice and the fastest to set. Works with any cabinet color and comes in ceramic, porcelain, glass and handmade-look finishes.
Hexagon, penny, arabesque and stone mosaics come on mesh sheets. More cuts and more grout, so they take longer, but they give the kitchen a custom look.
Beautiful behind a range, but porous. Stone needs sealing and a gentle cleaner afterwards, and we tell you that before you choose it.
Tile carried up to the bottom of the upper cabinets or behind the hood, or a quartz slab matched to the countertop for a seamless wall.
A backsplash is one of the shortest projects we do, and the kitchen stays usable the whole time. The schedule is written into the proposal.
We measure the wall, check what is behind the current surface and look at the tile you have in mind. No charge, no obligation.
You receive a fixed price with the tile, grout color and pattern spelled out. Materials are confirmed before anything is ordered.
Counters, cooktop and floor are covered. The old backsplash comes off and the wall is repaired and primed.
The tile is laid out, set and left to cure. Outlets are extended to the new surface.
Grout, caulk and sealer go on, the kitchen is cleaned, and we walk the wall with you before the final payment.
Tile shows every shortcut: a crooked grout line, a sliver cut at the corner, an outlet sitting below the surface. This is how we avoid them.
