Kitchen Remodeling
in Houston, TX

New cabinets, countertops, backsplash, flooring and lighting installed by one crew under one written contract. We plan the layout around how you cook and keep the kitchen usable for as much of the project as possible.

What a kitchen remodel includes

A kitchen can be refreshed in stages or rebuilt in one project. These are the pieces most Houston homeowners ask for, and each one is priced separately in the proposal.

Cabinets

Removal of old cabinets and installation of new ready-to-assemble, semi-custom or custom cabinetry, leveled, aligned and secured. Crown molding, fillers and toe kicks included.

Countertops

Template, fabrication and installation of quartz, granite, marble or butcher block, with sink cutouts, seams placed where they are least visible and edges finished to your choice.

Backsplash tile

Subway, herringbone, mosaic, marble or glass tile set on prepared walls, with outlets extended flush and grout sealed.

Kitchen flooring

Porcelain tile, luxury vinyl plank or hardwood installed over a leveled, prepared subfloor. Transitions to adjacent rooms are finished cleanly.

Lighting and electrical coordination

Under-cabinet lighting, pendants over the island and recessed cans planned with the cabinet layout. Electrical work that requires a licensed trade is coordinated under the same contract.

Paint, trim and final fit

Wall repair where the old backsplash and cabinets came off, paint, window and door trim, hardware, and a walkthrough before the final payment.

A kitchen we finished recently

Painted navy cabinets, quartz countertops with gold veining on the perimeter and the island, hexagon stone backsplash and wood-look porcelain tile floor. All photographed on the job.

Materials and layout choices

These four decisions drive most of the cost and most of the result. We bring samples to the estimate and show you real projects so you can decide with the room in front of you.

Cabinet grade

Ready-to-assemble cabinets keep the budget down and install fast. Semi-custom adds sizes and finishes. Custom is built for the exact wall and the exact height you want.

Countertop material

Quartz is the most requested in Houston: no sealing, consistent pattern, resists stains. Granite is natural and heat tolerant. Butcher block warms up a farmhouse kitchen.

Layout changes

Keeping the sink and range where they are saves money. Adding an island, opening a wall or moving the sink changes plumbing and electrical scope, and we price it clearly.

Backsplash and hardware

Full-height backsplash behind the range, a slab that matches the counter, or classic subway tile. Matte black, brass or nickel hardware ties the look together.

How a kitchen remodel goes

A cabinet-and-counter refresh takes about two weeks. A full remodel with new flooring, lighting and a layout change takes four to six weeks. Countertops are templated after cabinets are set, which adds a short wait we plan around.

In-home estimate

We measure the kitchen, check the existing plumbing and electrical, and talk through what works and what does not in the current layout.

Design and selections

Cabinet layout, counter material, backsplash and flooring are confirmed with samples. Lead times for cabinets and slabs are built into the schedule.

Written proposal

A fixed price with each item listed, the payment schedule and the calendar. Nothing is ordered until you sign.

Demolition and rough work

Old cabinets, counters and flooring come out. Walls, floors and any plumbing or electrical changes are prepared before the new cabinets arrive.

Cabinets, counters and finish

Cabinets are set and leveled, counters are templated and installed, then backsplash, flooring, lighting, paint and hardware. We walk the kitchen with you before the final payment.

Why Houston homeowners choose Earlimon for kitchens

A kitchen remodel touches every trade in the house. What makes the difference is planning the order of work so the project moves without dead days.

  • One contract, one crew, one number. Cabinets, counters, tile, flooring and paint are coordinated by the same person from the first visit to the final walkthrough.
  • A kitchen you can still use. We plan demolition and installation so you keep a working sink and a place to cook for as many days as possible.
  • Level cabinets, tight seams. Cabinets are shimmed and aligned before any counter is templated, which is why the seams and the backsplash line up.
  • Written scope, fixed price. The proposal lists every item. If you add something later it is priced in writing before it is done.
  • Dust control and daily cleanup. Plastic barriers, covered floors and a swept site each evening. The rest of the house stays livable.

Questions homeowners ask

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Houston?
A refresh with new cabinets, quartz counters and a backsplash in an average kitchen usually falls between fifteen and thirty thousand dollars. Full remodels with new flooring, lighting and a layout change run higher. The free in-home estimate gives you a fixed written price for your kitchen.
How long will my kitchen be out of service?
For a cabinet-and-counter project, the sink is usually out for about a week between cabinet installation and countertop installation. We set up a temporary sink where possible and tell you the exact dates before demolition.
Can I keep my existing cabinets and just replace the countertops?
Yes, if the cabinets are solid and level. We check them at the estimate. Replacing counters and backsplash alone is a common two-to-four day project.
Do you install cabinets I buy myself?
Yes. Many clients buy ready-to-assemble or big-box cabinets and we handle assembly, installation, leveling and trim. We will tell you at the estimate if what you bought will fit the wall.
Do you handle permits and licensed trades?
Cosmetic work usually needs no permit. When plumbing or electrical changes require a permit or a licensed trade, we coordinate it under the same contract and it is listed in the proposal.
What areas do you serve for kitchen remodeling?
Houston and the north and northeast suburbs including The Woodlands, Conroe, Spring, Humble, Kingwood and Atascocita, plus the Lake Livingston area: Livingston, Onalaska, Coldspring, Oakhurst, Huntsville, Willis, Cleveland, New Caney, Porter, Shepherd and Point Blank.
